My niece worked at this location. She was always a hard worker, she always filled in when other's called out. She was willing to work on her days off (cutting into her study time). She is a full time student as well. Unfortunately, the managers there are petty and gave my niece a hard time when she requested her paycheck be corrected because she did not receive her full compensation. Her boss Nikki was talking to other employees about how she didn't understand why it was a "big deal". Shame on her for that. That is unprofessional. My niece had to talk to the owner to get it fixed. My niece works hard for everything she has. She is working full time and going to college full time so YES, it is a big deal if she has money missing. She has bills to pay just like everyone else. The petty, behind the back talking got so bad that my niece felt uncomfortable working there or even going back. They treated her like a thief when she quit and called a locksmith to change the locks within an hour leaving my niece no time to return the key in accordance with their policy. They also took the cost of that out her check. I guess up until that point they deemed her to be a loyal, trustworthy employee until the day she asked for her paycheck to be corrected and it all went downhill. Shame on that manager for how she treats her employees. This location will have a hard time retaining good employees when there is no professionalism within the management team.
This was my first time here, as there arent many Hallmark's around. How disappointing. The 3 employees there, were all chit chatty with eachother and when i asked about a Christening gift, the girl didnt even know what that was. Very unhelpful. Turned out they had a small unimpressive Christening/Baptism section? Actually a few thin shelves with like 7 items to choose from. Not a very good selection of anything of use.
It is a good store to get cards.
