love this store, needed some plumbing supplies that neither big box store had but was so pleased to find it here. customer service wonderful. prices very competitive with big stores. highly recommended

I recently bought a large Green Egg from Ace Hardware in Oakwood. The price shown on the model was $795. At the cash register the price was $895. Mr Vogel said it was a package deal because i was getting some accessories for the grill. That was never even mentioned as Mr. Vogel did his sale pitch. I was shocked at the brazen way he got an extra $100..That is called Bait and Switch AND is against the law. Now Mr. Vogel, give us your tongue in cheek response about how great you and your store is. I paid more for the Green Egg at your store than I would have at the other Ace stores i visited. Bait and Switch puts money in your pocket and a very bad taste in my mouth. Remember: customers talk!
I'm in the store a couple of times a week. Everyone is always helpful, and the selection of product is amazing for a small floor area. I might pay a little more here than if I shopped Lowes or Home Depot, but the neighborhood location saves time and fuel. Also, you don't get the great customer service at the big stores that you do at Oakwood Ace.
